About the event

Come enjoy some spirits & finger foods and mingle with neighbors as we support former Memphis City Beautiful Commissioner Jerred Price who is running for Memphis City Council Super District 8, Position 3! Jerred is also a small business owner & entrepreneur and will fight for small businesses and the community!

We will hear from the candidate about his background, platform, and ideas for a better Memphis! Come, bring a friend, and get to know Jerred while you socialize with your neighbors & friends!

Jerred is a long time community servant, leader, and musician (Almost Elton John!) and he needs our support to get him elected to city council! He hopes to connect with as many voters as possible before the election on October 5th!

Here is just some of Jerred's work in the community throughout the years:

- Led Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) to it's largest membership ever: from 67 members to over 500+! Advocated and engaged community to save the Mud Island Amphitheater resulting in $4mil commitment from the city!

- Served as Commissioner for Memphis City Beautiful and participated in over 50+ neighborhood clean ups over the years!

- Founded the rainbow crosswalk in Cooper Young! - Helped Uptown community to organize to fight & win against a 7-story parking garage from being built next to their homes! - Spearheaded the street renaming & the ceremony honoring James Alexander of the BarKays in Soulsville!
